As a leader in the Digital Asset CoE the Head, Digital Assets Europe & Americas will support the Global Head, Digital Assets, and senior leaders across CCIB, SC Ventures and CPBB to ensure the effective management and prioritisation of the group's Digital Asset strategy in Europe & the Americas. This leadership role will work with the Europe and Americas leadership teams to support the implementation of the group Digital Asset strategy in these regions, and help embed Digital Assets competence in both regions. This role will lead the execution of global and local Digital Assets initiatives in Europe and the Americas and will enable thoughtful regulatory and industry engagement on Digital Assets. This role will also support client coverage in discussions with US, EU clients on Digital Assets topics to support efficiency in the delivery of Digital Asset initiatives in the region. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Digital Assets strategy for the region by working with the Global Head of Digital Assets and the regional Leadership team.
  • Understand the Digital Asset market opportunities and prioritise initiatives with the highest potential commercial return.
  • Work across business lines and functions to coordinate executions and assist in the establishment of the appropriate design for delivery of Digital Asset Capability.
  • Lead the growth in Digital Assets capability regionally through deep engagement with stakeholders.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for E&A in identifying and prioritising the commercial opportunity for Digital Assets for the region.
  • Simplify complicated ideas into actionable, measurable pieces and communicate those ideas to key internal and external stakeholders to generate buy-in
  • Drive support and collaboration for projects at all levels (senior and junior to you) and bring others on the Digital Assets journey.
  • Contribute to the development of tools and processes for the group such as Cryptoasset Admission and Digital Assets Higher Risk Framework.
  • Collaborate with Technology and Operations functions to ensure appropriate frameworks and operational infrastructure are in plan.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated market knowledge of Digital Assets, Cryptoassets and Web3. Fintech also considered favourably.
  • Demonstrated experience with high growth companies in the execution of business plans and initiatives.
  • Demonstrable experience working across large groups of complex stakeholders preferably including regulators/public sector.
  • Excellent Presentation and PowerPoint skills.
  • Familiar with modern productivity tools, e.g. ADO, Teams, Slack, Trello, Mural, Jira/Confluence.
  • Education - University Graduate preferred.
  • Certifications - Relevant technology, legal or Crypto/Blockchain certifications.
  • Languages - Excellent spoken and written English required.

Recruitment Assessments Expected annual base pay range for the role is 184,412 USD to 299,670 USD. The final offer will be determined on an individualised basis using a number of variables, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and education, internal relativity, and specific work location. At Standard Chartered Bank, Base pay is only part of the total compensation package.
