Job Title: Head of Digital SurfacingWorksite: 190 W. Tasman Drive, San Jose, CA 95134Salary Range: $283,868.00 - $325,742.00 per yearWhat You'll Do-Manage the creation of digital surfacing, based on a 2D design intent, to suitengineering/product performance requirements in 3D.-Materialize design to manufacturing processes into 3D CAD format.-Responsible for the release of complete set of product 3D data ( A and B surfacing)towards manufacturing.-Create high quality level 3D data using rapid digital modeling tools from 2D sketch tosupport early styling activities.-Create high quality level 3D data using nurbs from scan or sketch information.-Create high quality level 3D data incorporating feasibility directions, milling or productionrequirements.-Communicate and collaborate with other designers to effectively evolve and refineoutput.-Contribute 2D and/or 3D design sketches and sketch models for small parts and overalldesign proposals.-Perform other related duties to propel the project, studio, department and group forwardas assigned or requested.-Coordinate with management to clarify and direct development of digital modelingaspects of the design process.MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design,Transportation Design, Mechanical Engineering, or closely related field of study.
