Position Summary
The Head of Distribution Technology is a pivotal leadership role responsible for spearheading the development and implementation of technology solutions across Marketing, Sales, Employee Platform, and Client Services. Reporting directly to Neuberger Berman's Chief Technology Officer and serving as a member of the Global Technology Management Team, this role is essential to driving the firm's distribution strategy through innovative technology and data use.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in financial services, with a preference for experience in Wealth Management and/or Asset Management. Demonstrated expertise in leveraging advanced analytics to benefit marketing and sales professionals is crucial. This senior leadership position requires a visionary leader with extensive knowledge in data analytics, distribution technology, and financial services. The Head of Distribution Technology will oversee the creation and deployment of sophisticated technological solutions to optimize distribution channels, enhance client engagement, and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership : Define and execute a technological vision aligned with the company's growth goals, focusing on marketing and sales.
Team Formation : Identify, recruit, mentor, and retain top-tier talent. Build a high-performing Marketing and Sales Tech team to support growth initiatives.
Technology Expertise : Ensure seamless integration and functionality of key platforms, particularly Microsoft products, Salesforce, and cloud solutions (Azure/AWS). Oversee the integration of CRM systems, CMS, data analytics platforms, and other relevant technologies.
Actionable Insights : Utilize data analytics to ensure marketing and sales teams have actionable insights and tools to maximize ROI.
Stakeholder Engagement : Develop strong collaborative relationships with internal teams, particularly marketing and sales, to understand their technology needs and deliver solutions that drive business results.
Vendor and Platform Management : Manage relationships with key technology vendors and platform providers to ensure optimal value and performance.
Risk Management : Ensure technology implementations adhere to industry best practices, maintaining data security and compliance standards.
Project Management : Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of technology and data projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and budget.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience in marketing and sales technology leadership roles, with a strong portfolio of successful technology projects.
Hands-on experience with Salesforce CRM, including implementation, customization, and integration with other systems.
Strong technical acumen with a deep understanding of cloud, web development technologies, and frameworks.
Experience in managing and executing website revamps, with a strong understanding of UI/UX principles.
Demonstrable experience with data analytics and metrics to drive decisions and improvements.
Excellent project management skills, with a proven track record of delivering both requirement and large, complex projects on time and within budget.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of effectively presenting technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Agile and flexible thinker who can drive execution and outcomes.
Desired Qualifications
Certifications in Azure/AWS, Salesforce, or other relevant technologies.
Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Knowledge of the financial services and asset management industry.
Experience with digital marketing tools and strategies, including SEO and content management systems.
Experience with Client Reporting Suite Platforms, such as Vermilion, isa plus.
Ability to innovate and stay abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies.
Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technology solutions.
Experience in leading digital transformation projects, particularly involving customer-facing platforms.
Ability to work cross-functionally with various departments to align technology initiatives with business goals.
Passion for technology and its use in driving business outcomes.
Compensation Details
The salary range for this role is $225,000-$280,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York City. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), life insurance and other benefits to eligible employees.
