Supported by some of the most well-respected VC firms, we aim to become the go-to mobile security solution for individuals who want to know they can trust their devices with their most sensitive information - without sacrificing privacy.About the RoleThe Head of Finance will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the company, ensuring superior financial fundamentals, top-tier operations, and a high level of technical acumen. You will work closely with our Co-Founders, leadership team, and external advisors (tax, CPA, etc.) to build and implement financial strategies that support our long-term growth objectives. As the first finance hire, you will wear multiple hats and play a crucial role in establishing the company's financial infrastructure, processes, and reporting mechanisms. This is a hybrid role based out of our HQ office in New York City.ResponsibilitiesFinance
  • Oversee full financial tracking, including Profit & Loss (P&L), balance sheet, expenses, accounts payable (AP), and accounts receivable (AR), ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and liquidity, ensuring the company has sufficient working capital to meet obligations and support growth, including short-term investments and treasury functions.
  • Maintain and update the company's cap table, including equity grants, investor transactions, and stock option plans, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.
  • Prepare and present monthly financial reports to the board, providing insights into financial performance, forecasts, and key metrics. Participate in board meetings to offer strategic input on financial decisions, fundraising, and scaling operations.Operations
    • Manage AP/AR (including running payroll), timely invoicing, collections, and vendor payments, while implementing controls to track expenses and ensure alignment with budget targets.
    • Ensure accurate bookkeeping, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes, while coordinating with external accountants or CPA firms for financial statement preparation and tax filings.
    • Manage Sales operations in collaboration with GTM leaders: analyze CRM data to forecast goals, manage quotas, etc.
    • Build and maintain financial models for sales forecasts, headcount planning, scenario analysis, and sales quota modeling, ensuring alignment with company growth and revenue targets.Requirements
      • 7+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or related roles with a wide scope of responsibilities.
      • Experience working in an early-stage startup environment, preferably within technology.
      • Proven track record in building financial infrastructure, managing P&L, and overseeing financial operations from end to end.
        • Strong knowledge of financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario planning.
        • Proficient in financial software tools and modeling.
        • Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and the ability to analyze sales metrics from CRM data.
        • Experience with cap table management tools (Carta, Capshare, etc.) and equity management.
          • Strong analytical mindset and ability to distill complex data into actionable insights.
          • Exceptional communication and presentation skills; ability to communicate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
          • High level of integrity and attention to detail.
