Metrea Management provides central services to eleven (11) global capability units via Operations, Solutions, Strategy, Legal, and Finance teams.Position SummaryThe Head of Global Inventory Management role is responsible for managing and optimizing the storage, and distribution of all materials, aviation parts, ground support equipment, tools, and commercial products. This role is responsible for (a) analysis to identify inventory requirements for specific aircraft fleets and operating locations for each element of the fleet; (b) receipt, inspection, warehousing, and issue of inventory based on global enterprise demand; (c) coordination with Global Procurement function to generate procurement and repair orders for aviation supply; and (d) coordination with Global Logistics function to execute movement of items from enterprise global inventory to forward locations to sustain required inventory and address AOG events. Additionally, this role provides strategic leadership and guidance to Global Inventory Management team members, ensuring efficient operating and adherence to best practices.Role and ResponsibilitiesOversees and conducts analysis of aircraft and support equipment component consumption in order to establish required forward site pool inventory and establishes enterprise global inventory requirements in order to ensure consistent sustainment of forward site inventory requirements.Coordinates with heads of technical services for Metrea aircraft fleets in advance of aircraft heavy maintenance events in order to ensure required items arrive at the heavy maintenance location prior to need throughout the heavy maintenance event.Performs and oversees staff in the receiving, inspection, and binning of the daily deliveries of materials to global enterprise warehouse facilities. Coordinates and executes outbound shipment of repairs and stock transfers to enable forward sites and heavy maintenance activities to meet required performance standards.Organize and manage warehouse space to ensure efficient storage and security of materials.Address and resolve any issues related to shipping, receiving, or inventory discrepancies promptly and effectively.Conduct receiving inspections to verify the quality and accuracy of shipments.Ensures that material inspection of incoming parts is in accordance with procedures as determined by the Chief Inspector and that rejected materials are tagged and stored per the established guidelines.Prepare and present reports on logistics performance to leadership as required.Support the management and disposition of Government Furnished Equipment based on government customer requirements and Metrea company policies and procedures.In conjunction with the Head of Global Logistics and Metrea Global Trade Compliance, support the Import and Export process to ensure compliance with regulations and facilitate prompt delivery via DoD and commercial freight or express methods.Ensures that all materials requested by the forward site logistic teams are provided promptly to support line, overnight, and heavy check operations.Ensures that parts and equipment that are requisitioned are ordered in a timely manner in after hour and AOG situations. Ensures that all activities relative to AOG and after hour AOG support are carried out in the most safe, expeditious, and economical way possible.Trains the Global Inventory Management team in all aspects of stockroom operations that are applicable to their respective job classifications. This includes but is not limited to computerized management and issuance of materials, hazmat training, shelf-life training, cycle counting, as well as storage, packaging, receiving, of materials and disposal of hazardous, scrap or BER materials per established company guidelines.Updates training records and monitors recurrent training requirements, to ensure that the Global Inventory Management team is current on all training related to the department and provides regular updates to the Head of Supply Chain Management.Assesses staff performance ongoing and addresses performance and behavioral issues using the progressive discipline processes and polices as outlined in Metrea's employee handbook. Involves necessary teammates in People issues as needed and escalates serious concerns in accordance with Metrea company policy.Lead performance reviews for the Global Inventory team using established company guidelines.Drafts schedules to ensure that the Global Inventory Management team is available across all hours to support forward site sustainment requirements.Trains Global Inventory Management team members in the proper procedures to ensure that parts/materials are properly stored, segregated, and labelled, and that they comply with current Shelf-Life Programs and hazardous materials storage guidelines.Establishes and manages the inventory control program to ensure accurate identification and retrieval of parts/materials in support of Metrea's fleet.Communicate effectively with internal and external customers to keep them informed about shipment status and any potential scheduling delays.Adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities efficiently.Excel at resolving complex challenges with a strategic and thoughtful approach.Education:Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Engineering.Experience:10+ years of logistics and supply chain management.5 - 7 years of experience in aviation logistics, including AOG Shipments experience in aviation logistics and warehousing, with experience receiving rotable parts.Computer Skills:Microsoft Office Suite.Expert level in Microsoft Excel.Significant experience working with aviation inventory management systems which interface with aircraft maintenance management systems.Preferred Education, Experience and Certificates:Education: Master's Degree.Experience in International Shipping, ITAR/EAR parts, and management of customs.Experience with Veryon, AMOS, or similar platform.Experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365.Additional Eligibility Qualifications:Must be able to accomplish any and all duties with little or no assistance.Must have good command of the English language; oral and written.Must have a valid driver's license.Our Culture:Metrea's single core value “rooted in humility” is supported by four key attributes; entrepreneurial, systematic, discerning & over-deliver which combined; form our Teammate Firmware, our culture.
