Job Description:A property and casualty insurer is seeking a Head of Insurance Distribution. The Head of Insurance Distribution will hold the pivotal role of expanding into the $140 billion small business insurance sector byleveraging alternative distribution networks, including affiliate partnerships, embedded offerings, associations, franchises, independent agents and the public. This role involves crafting and executing a dynamic, multi-channel distribution strategy that highlights the organization's cutting-edge technology designed to simplify insurance acquisition for small businesses. Following proven success and leadership prowess, the Head of Insurance Distribution will assemble and lead a dynamic team aligned with the entrepreneurial spirit and growth goals of the organization. This is a retained search. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a multi-channel distribution strategy targeting the small business insurance market.
- Oversee and execute plans to increase premium profits.
- Provide the chief executive officerwith insights on strategic opportunities and revenue projections.
- Leverage opportunities with industry contacts and production sources.
- Investigate and pinpoint vertical market opportunities and propose product development aligned with marketing strategies.
- Cultivate and mentor a team of highly driven professionals with entrepreneurial mindsets and are in sync with the organization's growth targets.
- Negotiate affiliate relationships with the endorsement of senior management.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience working in commercial property and casualty insurance
- Expertise in profitable multi-channel distribution
- Comprehensive understanding of small business product lines, policy forms, coverage details and pricing strategies
- Well-versed in digital carrier strategy and distribution methodologies aimed at policy acquisition and retention
- Knowledge of technology-driven digital insurance distribution
- Ability to recommend enhancements to optimize customer experience
- Proven track record in distribution management with aninsurtech or a national carrier, focused on small business insurance via direct or agency platform
- Skilled in negotiating and establishing embedded insurance programs and vertical market programs
