About the Role

The Company is seeking a Head of Land and Title to join their senior leadership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading land acquisition activities, including the identification and evaluation of potential project sites, negotiating land lease agreements, and conducting thorough title research and due diligence. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all land-related aspects of renewable energy projects are in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. The Head of Land and Title will also be involved in community engagement, environmental assessments, and will oversee the legal aspects of land contracts. As the first hire in the land team, the role involves a hands-on approach and the development of a team of land acquisition specialists, legal professionals, and land use planners.Applicants for the Head of Land and Title position should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and extensive experience in land acquisition and title management, preferably within the renewable energy sector. A strong understanding of real estate legal principles, proficiency in title research and analysis, and excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills are essential. The ideal candidate will be familiar with GIS mapping tools, have the ability to manage complex projects, and be prepared to lead a team as the project pipeline expands. Experience in utility-scale solar, storage, and/or wind, as well as across multiple ISO/RTOs, is highly beneficial.
