Brightsmith Group is currently conducting a search for a Head of Legal to join an exceptionally innovative startup dedicated to catalyzing global decarbonization efforts. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Head of Legal will play a pivotal role in providing strategic legal counsel to guide decision-making processes across various facets of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic legal advice and guidance to the executive team and other departments on a diverse range of legal issues.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a spectrum of contracts, agreements, and legal documents, encompassing commercial contracts, vendor agreements, employment contracts, and corporate governance documents.
• Remain abreast of evolving laws and regulations pertinent to the company's operations and offer insights on compliance requirements.

Qualifications required:

• J.D. degree, Bar membership in any state within the USA, and 5+ years of legal experience.

This position is not based in New York; however, there will be frequent travel within first year to establish strong relationships if not located in New York.
