About the Opportunity:

Excellent leadership opportunity for a leveraged finance lawyer, who is seeking a move away from practising law/deal execution. This is a fantastic option for lawyers who enjoy the subject matter of what they do, but would like to diversify away from transactional work and into a broader advisory, analytical and managerial position.

About the Role Content:

This is a varied and challenging position, which involves being the lead loans lawyer in the US for our client. You would lead and manage a team of lawyers whose core focus is on analysing leveraged finance transaction covenants and related market events, with a view to producing user-friendly and digestible reports for a broad external client base.

This is an exciting time to be joining our client, as it looks to further build and develop its capabilities within the US market. You would head up an experienced team charged with keeping abreast of events and trends in the market, analysing and commenting on individual transactions, providing market commentaries (both written and via webinars/podcasts), and staying on top of any relevant regulatory or industry-standard developments. In addition, this role would involve you being a key representative and ambassador to the external marketplace.

• Our client is interested in leveraged finance lawyers with substantial experience gained within BigLaw.
• Ideally, your experience will include exposure to the large cap end of the market.
• Also of interest would be candidates who in addition to core leveraged finance expertise, have private credit experience.

Pay range and compensation package - indicative salary range of $260,000 to $300,000 plus discretionary bonus
