Marsh McLennan's more than 85,000 employees advise clients in over 130 countries.We are seeking a Head of Marsh and Mercer FP&A to join our team in New York City.What can you Expect?As the Head of Marsh and Mercer FP&A you will provide leadership to Marsh and Mercer Corporate Finance and work closely with the CFOs for both businesses to provide analytical insights, strategic direction and enable delivery of financial commitments.The Head of Marsh and Mercer FP&A will report to the Marsh McLennan Global FP&A Leader.We will count on you to:

  • Work as the head of the Marsh Mercer Corporate FP&A, and liaise with Marsh CFO, Mercer CFO, MMC CFO, Regional FP&A teams globally and supporting the Chief Commercial Office.
  • Be a relied-upon counsel to the Marsh CFO, Mercer CFO, International CFO and Regional CFOs.
  • Take responsibility for reporting, analyzing and explaining Marsh & Mercer financial performance to the business' Executive Committees and MMC Corporate.
  • Partner closely with the MMC Corporate FP&A teams and the Strategic Insights Group.
  • Own the Rolling Forecast and Budget process for Marsh & Mercer, understanding opportunities and risks and build credible plans to deliver profitable growth to meet targets.
  • Lead long range strategic analysis and Budget target setting process in collaboration with MMC Corporate and Regional FP&A teams.
  • Participate in capital allocation process and perform portfolio and client level profitability analytics.
  • Provide financial consulting and strategic support to senior management, including the provision of accurate, timely and insightful analyses of key initiatives, projects, and M&A implications.
  • Ensure the business receives robust Financial and Operational KPIs to run the business, including coordinating the collection of all performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of variances to budget, forecast and prior year.
  • When needed, present and explain Marsh & Mercer financial results at management meetings.
  • Prepare all sensitive and confidential analysis as directed by the CEOs or CFOs.
  • Champion finance transformation.
  • Develop talent, including supporting early-in career programs, and serve as a pipeline for the broader organization.
  • Prepare board presentations, financial presentations, capital expenditure analysis, client profitability analysis and other projects requested by senior management.
  • Lead the combined Marsh and Mercer Corporate FP&A teams.
What you need to have:
  • 15 years Corporate Finance experience.
  • Experience of working in professional services and financial services.
  • Experience presenting financial results & forecasts on a regular basis to senior executives.
  • Experience running a business strategic plan and budgeting/forecasting processes on a global basis in a complex matrix organization.
  • Financial and performance analysis expertise.
  • Expertise and experience in change and process management.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Finance change and transformational experience.
  • Experience leading global teams.
