Base pay range

$76,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr

Job Summary:

The Head of Media Operations is responsible for leading and managing all media-related activities within the organization, overseeing staff, contractors, and volunteers to ensure seamless execution of media strategies. This role requires strong leadership, project management, and strategic planning to drive operational excellence and enhance audience engagement.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, train, and provide clear direction to media staff, contractors, and volunteers.
  • Effectively communicate the organization's goals, needs, and limitations.
  • Establish project timelines, enforce deadlines, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion and within budget.
  • Develop and present media strategies to leadership using data, reports, and present with decks.
  • Work with the brand manager to design and execute marketing and promotional campaigns across various media platforms to expand reach and increase brand awareness.
  • Develop and document standard operating procedures for media operations.
  • Manage third-party service providers to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Manage the department's organizational structure within the specialist media facilities and also provide management and leadership to the creative technical teams and associated support staff.
  • Define and drive the vision and direction of the Media Operations team.
  • Oversee annual plans (AOP), quarterly and monthly planning, and other initiatives by establishing clear objectives, creating project plans, assigning responsibilities, communicating with stakeholders, and tracking project deliverables.
  • Lead media contractor onboarding and manage ongoing contractor relationships.
  • Work both internally and externally to execute contractual documents through proper submission, review, negotiation, and approval processes.
  • Ensure media vendors are set up properly and invoice procedures are followed.
  • Oversee all media production efforts for the organization, ensuring high-quality execution of video, audio, and digital content that aligns with the church's vision and mission.

Education & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, communications, or a related field (preferred)
  • 7+ years' experience in a media operations role (preferred)
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing media teams, contractors, and cross-functional staff (preferred)
  • Audio/visual technical expertise is a plus.
  • Equivalent work experience in a directly related field may substitute for the degree requirement.
  • Proven experience with budget planning, KPIs and performance measurement.
  • In-depth knowledge of the media industry and various media channels
  • Experience in a nonprofit, faith-based, or mission-driven organization (a plus).
  • Proficiency in data analytics and performance tracking for media initiatives.
  • Strong decision-making and communication skills
