The OpportunityMassMutual Investments is a diversified multi-manager investment platform focused on the retirement, wealth management and insurance channels. We are seeking a Head of Multi-Asset Class Solutions (MACS) to support our asset allocation research and portfolio management activities.The TeamMassMutual Investments manages $45 billion across 100+ portfolios, spanning equities, fixed income, and multi-asset solutions. We have developed partnerships with some of the world's leading asset managers who subadvise our investment strategies. We are rapidly expanding our solutions in the retirement, wealth and insurance channels and we are seeking highly motivated individuals to help drive our dynamic and collaborative effort.The Impact:The Head of MACS will lead all portfolio management activities including oversight, construction, asset allocation research and thought leadership for our multi-asset and multi-managed portfolios.Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day implementation of portfolio monitoring and trading activity
  • Lead asset allocation, manager research, portfolio risk, and product meetings and discussions
  • Lead evaluation of underlying managers, portfolio construction and performance attribution processes
  • Lead research, analysis, and development of thought leadership content on broad multi-asset class topics and themes
  • Collaborate effectively with other business partners including Distribution, Product, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Marketing and Technology
  • Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration and respectful debate
  • Attract, develop, engage and retain a talented and diverse workforce
The Minimum Qualifications
  • 10+ years in asset allocation research or portfolio management role
  • CFA and/or advanced degree
  • Functional programming skills in R/Python, SQL
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Proven experience in asset allocation research, portfolio management, manager research, and risk management
  • Strong analytical skills, technical skills, and a solutions-oriented mindset
  • Comfort with a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proven ability to succeed in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment
