We believe that patients must be able to bring all of their identities to their clinicians to receive the care they deserve. In order to help patients find the right care providers, we leverage data to benchmark where each provider is in their journey of being inclusive, and we provide access to education to upskill each provider so they can become more inclusive. -Prior to building Violet, the founding team spent years building digital health companies like Oscar and Iora. The team has built and shipped the first-ever health equity platform and is already serving numerous health plan and care delivery customers, including United Healthcare, Blue Shield of California, One Medical and more. -Who you are:You're a hands-on product leader with at least 7+ years of product experience and 3+ years of leadership experience in a mix of established and early-stage organizations. Additionally, you have experience working with data infrastructure and/or data visualization products. You understand the challenges of a high-growth technology company from a business, systems, and development standpoint and can effectively translate business requirements into product requirements. You are comfortable partnering across the organization and work well with others to ideate and consolidate requirements. Most importantly, you are passionate about fixing our fractured health care system and building technology to increase health equity. As the Head of Product at Violet, you'll work with: operations, engineering, and design to deliver an exceptional product experience to our growing set of clients. As our company scales, you will also continue to build, mentor, and develop your team. You're passionate about user experience, acquisition, and retention and have an expert understanding of user research and product management tools and techniques. You have a proven track record of scaling Enterprise SaaS platforms that are heavily reliant on data aggregation and communication to third-party data consumers. Note: Violet's headquarters are in New York City, and while we offer the flexibility to work from anywhere, we're seeking someone based in NYC who can join us in the office 2 days a week. This role combines the benefits of remote work with the opportunity to collaborate in person with the team regularly. Responsibilities:
- Be the primary product owner, which includes partnering with: Operations, Engineering, and Design to research, define, prioritize, and manage product requirements.
- Build a balanced product roadmap to ensure rapid development.
- Develop a long-term vision for Product at Violet.
- Oversee, mentor and develop a growing Product team.
- Research and analyze market opportunities to create products to match and surpass current industry standards. -
- Gather customer needs data such as feature requests, creates detailed requirements, schedules release timelines, and project plans. -
- Implement and improve best-in-class product management practices.
- Provide cross-functional leadership and advocate for our product.
- Sit on the Senior Leadership Team at Violet, helping to build team culture and company strategy, in addition to product responsibilities. - Desired Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years product management leadership experience, with clear ownership of a product roadmap and experience with a range of user research.
- Experience working with healthcare related products or customers.
- Experience launching and scaling infrastructure technologies, including structured data shared across an industry. -
- Experience managing education products, ideally for clinical or professional users.
- Experience scaling a product to tens of thousands of users, with rapid iteration of the product.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interface and partner with different levels of the organization and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize requirements in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Why you should work here:
