About Perfect Venue

Private events and catering can significantly increase restaurant revenue, but many restaurants are stuck using outdated, error-prone manual processes - unlike the sophisticated software employed by large chains.Perfect Venue is leveling the playing field by offering local restaurants an affordable, user-friendly, event management tool to help local restaurants compete with big chains.This is just the start, with plans to expand into a broader marketplace that includes venues and other event services (DJs, florists, etc).

The Opportunity

With solid product-market fit, we are experiencing a surge in demand, as restaurants seek to modernize their inefficient and outdated processes. As our first Head of Talent, you will play a crucial role in shaping our company culture and building exceptional teams. You will be responsible for sourcing and attracting top talent, overseeing the recruitment process, and implementing effective people operations strategies.

Although we have plenty of room to grow, our product has already gained significant traction. Many customers throughout the country pay hundreds of dollars a month for our service. We are backed by leading Silicon Valley VCs, including the first investor in Zoom.

About You

You're an experienced Recruiter & People Ops professional who can join our company and hit the ground running!

Responsibilities

  • Attract, recruit, and screen world-class talent
  • Build a strong company brand to attract top talent
  • Work closely with team leaders to help them find the best talent for their teams
  • Advise on positions that should be filled
  • Develop world-class candidate experiences by improving the interviewing and screening process
  • Assist company leadership in building a strong company culture
  • Manage HR (ie employee onboarding, performance management, employee spend, employee engagement initiatives, etc)
  • Assist in managing company financials

Need to Haves

  • 5+ years of experience recruiting at early stage startups
  • Recruited for both technical and non-technical roles
  • Experience using Gem and Linkedin Recruiter to source candidates
  • Proven track record of successfully building high-performing teams
  • Ability to create and implement effective people ops strategies and programs
  • Experience managing employee onboarding, performance management, and employee engagement initiatives
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team members
