Make your mark for patientsWe are looking for a Head of the U.S. Project Management Office (PMO) who is strategic, collaborative, and results driven to join us in our Strategic Planning & Operations team. This hybrid position is located in Atlanta, Georgia, United States and may require up to 10% domestic or international travel.About the roleYou will build the project management office and lead a team of Project Managers responsible for overseeing the planning, execution and successful delivery of projects within the U.S. In addition, this role is responsible for leading the evolution of the PMO, including establishing or maturing UCB's processes to ensure effective collaboration, project excellence and increasing our impact for patients. You will also work with and influence senior and global cross-functional teams to establish a methodology to identify, prioritize and implement PMO strategies that deliver maximum value for patients and are seamlessly integrated into the U.S. strategic plan. This enterprise-wide leadership role will play an important role in defining the future ways of working, measurement, and operational efficiency as UCB builds a U.S. organization that can capitalize on future opportunities as the company grows.Who you'll work withInternally, you will work cross functionally with leadership and teams across Analytics, Brand Teams, Market Access, Corporate Affairs, Compliance, IT and Operations. Externally, you will be responsible for the establishment and management of project management vendors or consultants (~additional 15-20 Full-Time employees).What you'll do
  • Define and execute the strategic vision for the PMO in alignment with the organization's goals, including the development of the key capabilities such as capacity planning and resource management
  • Develop capabilities to ensure appropriate portfolio view and periodic review process of all projects and key initiatives in the U.S. to track progress against key strategic priorities, prioritization of resources and key risks
  • Ensure establishment, continued evolution and utilization of PM Standards - based upon identification and establishment of best practices and industry-leading methodologies
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, influencing to ensure alignment and effective communication
  • Establish KPIs to measure project impact and overall effectiveness of the PMO and report on project performance to executive leadership
  • Drive the process for which Change Management requirements will be deployed throughout the U.S. Affiliate to ensure successful implementation of strategic and tactical objectives
Interested? For this role, we're looking for the following education, experience and skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in the health sciences, business/marketing, or related field (Master's Degree in related field preferred)
  • Relevant Certifications (PMP, APM, Agile, etc)
  • Substantial experience in the discipline of project management (15+ years) or combination of experience and education - within pharmaceutical or medical device industry preferred
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office and other project management tool(s)
  • Ability to work in a global, cross-functional and diverse teams
  • Budget and resource allocation expertise and strong change management principles
This positions reasonably anticipated base salary range is $159,480- $232,575 per year.
