AsstrA invites you to join our ambitious team as a Head of Sales at our branch in Houston!

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Searching and attracting new clients;
  • Leading our regional US Sales team and external agents;
  • Developing our customer portfolio across the US with a hands-on mentality;
  • Coordinating all sales activities within the region and ensuring sales goals are achieved;
  • Creating a motivated and supportive work environment, promoting the potential of each employee;
  • Hiring, mentoring, and coaching the sales team;
  • Developing a network of independent sales agents;
  • Formulating a strategic orientation for the US market, focusing on key account development, sales analysis, and forecasted growth;
  • Visiting customers onsite and consulting them on relevant trade lanes and markets;
  • Building and expanding long-term relationships with existing customers and new business;
  • Cooperating with AsstrA across the globe;
  • Developing and controlling individual KPI targets for personal and team sales.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years of experience in sales within the freight forwarding industry, with broad knowledge of most transport modes;
  • Ideally a standing book of business;
  • Deep understanding of the US market, including main industries interested in freight forwarding services;
  • Extensive experience in handling major corporate accounts (Key Account Management clients);
  • Experience collaborating with ocean and air carriers to negotiate contractual rates and resolve operational issues;
  • Experience mentoring and training newcomers;
  • Team management experience;
  • Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills;
  • Leadership skills to guide and inspire your team;
  • Proactivity and responsibility;
  • Ability to work both individually and in a team.
