Head Start Family Advocate – Mankato, MN

Want to make a difference in the lives of children and families? Come work for Head Start! Responsible for providing services to support family well-being and family engagement to enrolled participants. Services include family assessment, family goal setting, parent engagement, health, mental health, and nutrition. Connect with community members to locate children and complete applications.

Responsibilities include:
  • Providing services to support family well-being and engagement.
  • Conducting family assessments and goal setting.
  • Engaging parents and connecting them with health, mental health, and nutrition services.
  • Locating children and assisting with application processes.
Minimum Qualifications:

Degree in social work, human services, family services, counseling or a related field required. Must demonstrate strong computer, communication, and organizational skills. Bilingual beneficial.

Position Details:

38 hours/week. In-area travel required for the position. $20.40/hour. Health insurance is offered, and benefits include paid PTO.
