Head Women's Soccer Coach - Florida College : Job Details

Florida College is seeking applicants for the position of Head Women's Soccer Coach to provide development, leadership and supervision of a comprehensive and competitive Varsity Women's Soccer program. This position reports to the Director of Soccer and is responsible for all activities of the Women's Soccer program.

Responsibilities

* Coordinate and recruit prospective student-athletes through personal visits, telephone conversations, and mail solicitations. In partnership with the Office of Athletics and Director of Athletics serve as a spokesperson on Florida College Women's Soccer related public discussion.

* Fundraising in coordination with the Director of Athletics and Office of Advancement. Works to incorporate strategies ensuring articulation of mission and help to ensure team relationships enhance our faith-based mission.

* Ensure compliance with institutional, conference and association rules and regulations. In partnership with Internal Operations, monitor eligibility of incoming and current student-athletes.

* Plan, develop, and run organized practice sessions and secure officials for home games. Work in conjunction with the Director of Athletics to develop game schedules, and plan major purchases; manage budget and secure travel arrangements including meals, lodging, and transportation in accordance with allowances; Select, purchase, and maintenance of all team equipment while adhering to athletic department and Florida College identity standards.

* Monitor student-athletes academic progress and implement strategies to ensure academic and athletic success; Ensure academic success of soccer student-athletes, student-athletes' retention and graduation rates and GPA should be comparable to those of all Florida College students. Reinforce the Florida College culture by demonstrating sportsmanship, integrity, a competitive spirit, and the importance of academics.

* Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college/university

* Soccer coaching experience

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience coaching intercollegiate athletics at NAIA or NCAA level

* Experience with fundraising

* Proven record of success both on and off the field

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

* Excellent fiscal, communication, and interpersonal skills

* Ability to lead and manage assistant coaches and student staff members

* Extensive knowledge and skills in budget development and management

* Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally

* Effective organizational and time management skills

* Considerable knowledge of computers and various software packages used for word processing, graphs, table, etc. (SmrtStats, Microsoft Office 2003, Excel)
