Colusa County Office of Education is recruiting for a Health Assistant who under the direction of the Director of Special Education, the School Nurse or designee, the Health Assistant performs specialized health care procedures as needed for designated students in the classroom and other school area; performs related duties as required. The duties of this classification include provisions of health care to students and performance of specialized health care.

CURRENT ASSIGNMENT LOCATION: Colusa County Special Ed. SALARY: $20.99 - $28.14 per hour HOURS/DAYS: 6.5 hours per day, 195 days per year EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: High school graduate; medical certification/licensure equivalent to minimum of Nursing Assistant License with two years recent medical experience; and experience and/or education in the area of children and young adults, including those with disabilities. BENEFITS: Partially paid medical, dental and vision benefits; paid sick and vacation leave; CalPERS retirement LICENSES & REQUIREMENTS: Current California medical certification/licensure Current First Aid and CPR certificates The successful candidate will be required to provide DOJ and FBI fingerprint clearance, TB test clearance, COVID-19 vaccination verification (or program-required equivalent, a valid California driver's license, and disclosure of CA-DMV Driver Record (INF-1125) current following acceptance of job offer.
