HEALTH BENEFITS ANALYST - Questar III : Job Details

Questar IIII BOCES has a full time 12-month Health Benefits Analyst position available at our Central Office in Castleton NY. This is an entry level position within our Financial Services Department working for the GASB 75 team. The Health Benefits Analyst is responsible for reviewing, analyzing,and maintaining post-employment benefit (OPEB) census information as submitted by district clients, as well as creating full valuation and disclosure reports for approximately 200 districts. Direct contact and interaction with clients and the GASB 75 team is an integral part of this position. The position is also responsible for evaluating the accuracy and integrity of information generated for financial reporting. The position also requires performing other related duties as assigned. (civil service title-Budget Analyst)

Job Skills and Requirements:

• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe
• Ability to remember and focus on minor details of a task or project
• Effectively communicate and work collaboratively with team members
• Capable of using judgement, rationalizing, and interpreting information

Job Responsibilities:

• Analyzing census data, reviewing contracts, and submitting questions to clients
• Assessing client responses for reasonableness and accuracy
• Maintaining an interactive workflow, good communication, and flexibility
• Prioritizing and switching tasks to meet multiple clients needs
