Job Title: Health Information Clerk
Location: Ishpeming, MI
Pay: $17.38 per Hour
What's the Job?
- Maintains an efficient and secure patient health information system through duties related to the collection, processing, filing, storage, retrieval and delivery of patient medical records.
- Works as a team with other Health Information (HIM) staff to facilitate workload assignments and assure quality assurance is completed.
- Ensure the appropriateness access to and release of confidential patient information through adherence to hospital policy and regulatory requirements.
- Provides excellent customer service during all telephone and walk-in inquires.
What's Needed?
- Temporary full time position to cover a leave of absence for 12 weeks, starting by mid-January 2025.
- M-F 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- 6-12 months of experience in an office setting.
- Preferred: Medical records experience or other related clerical experience.
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
