Health Information Systems Assistant Full Time - Wyoming County Community Health System : Job Details

*HEALTH INFORMATION SYSTEMS ASSISTANT (WCCH)**DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS:* This position exists in the hospital for administrative and technical support to the Director of Healthcare Information Systems. This position involves experience in data processing involving systems analysis and computer programming, as well as hands on installation and setup of computer software, hardware, and peripherals. Employees in this class assist in maintaining existing computer systems and applications and function in an instructional capacity assisting staff in the operations of programs to fulfill their needs. Supervision over the work of others is not a responsibility of employees in this class. The incumbent does related work as required.*TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES*:* Setup and maintain computers and related peripheral equipment for hospital office and support service use;* Troubleshoot hardware, software and networking issues;* Install computer software;* Assist staff with the operation and setup of personal computers and related peripheral equipment;* Conducts in-service for hospital personnel in the use of computer hardware, printer setup, and operation as they apply to office need;* Monitor and maintains all computer equipment in operable condition, performing minor adjustments and scheduled maintenance as needed.* Backups performed and completion confirmed;* On-call duties shared with other Information Systems staff;* Monitor and maintain logs of EHR system;* Monitor and maintain logs of facility staff;* Run adhoc reports from EMR system upon request* All other duties as assigned.*\*\*Please note; you must meet minimum qualifications to be considered for an interview. You must be available to work day shift Monday - Friday with a rotating on call requirement\*\***MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS*:A. Possession of an Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field with one (1) year's work experience in computer systems which must include one (1) year computer troubleshooting; ORB.
