Who You Are: The Health Occupations Coordinator at Tri County Tech plays a critical role in driving excellence across our Health-related programs, ensuring exceptional student outcomes, and elevating instructional quality. Under the direction of the Instructional Director, the Coordinator provides comprehensive oversight of key processes within both Full-time and Flex programs, including accreditation management, clinical site coordination, simulation implementation, advisory board facilitation, and strategic calendar planning, all while maintaining strict compliance with regulatory boards, regulations, and standards. Additionally, the coordinator is the primary liaison with the Oklahoma Board of Nursing, serving as the PN program administrator and ensuring compliance and alignment with the roles and responsibilities established within OBN standards.The ideal candidate will bring a proven background as a Health Occupations educator, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to collaboration. This individual will play a pivotal role in advancing Tri County Tech's mission of delivering life-changing learning experiences, shaping the future of healthcare education, and empowering student success.What You'll PossessAs a qualified candidate:
  • You'll possess a Bachelor's degree. Willing to obtain Masters Degree in Nursing.
  • You'll possess a current RN license in Oklahoma.
  • You'll possess Simulation Certification or are willing to obtain.
  • You'll possess at least one year of full-time teaching experience in a Nursing program.
  • You'll possess at least two years of full-time practice as a Registered Nurse in a clinical setting.
  • You are exceptional at attention to detail, highly organized, with excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • You'll exceed expectations and have excellent follow-up skills.
  • You'll take the initiative, seek out projects, and openly accept other duties as assigned.
  • You continually look for ways to improve your skillset and are always open to receiving feedback.
What You'll DoCoordinators oversee major projects, or a majority of department functions with accountability and focused oversight. They support leadership by implementing change initiatives efficiently and effectively while flexibly assuming new responsibilities. Coordinators are highly engaged in all aspects of the organization with limited cross-functional responsibilities and are mostly present-focused. They manage multiple projects with self-directed deadline-driven accountability. Although transactional, Coordinators are high-functioning professionals applying the use of discretion and independent judgment while building problem-solving skills. Exempt - Some Evenings Required Essential Functions:
  • Program Oversight and Resource ManagementProvide leadership and oversight for all primary processes within the Health Occupations full-time and Flex programs, including accreditation management, simulation implementation, clinical site coordination, strategic calendar planning, and regulatory compliance. Ensure consistency, efficiency, and effective utilization of resources to optimize program quality and outcomes.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Liaison ResponsibilitiesServe as the designated Nurse Administrator of record for the Oklahoma Board of Nursing, acting as the regulatory liaison. Ensure full compliance with all state and national accreditation standards, reporting requirements, and board policies to maintain accreditations and regulatory standing.
  • Clinical Partnerships and CoordinationDevelop, coordinate, and maintain partnerships with clinical sites to ensure students receive high-quality, hands-on learning experiences. Secure clinical placements, manage contracts and resolve challenges to support seamless clinical operations throughout all program offerings.
  • Simulation Program Implementation and OversightLead the implementation, coordination, and evaluation of simulation-based learning experiences to enhance instructional delivery and align with industry best practices. Ensure the simulation program reflects real-world healthcare scenarios to prepare students effectively.
  • Advisory Board Leadership and Program DevelopmentFacilitate and lead the Advisory Boards, collaborating with industry partners and stakeholders to gather feedback, align curriculum with workforce needs, and ensure program innovation meets current and emerging healthcare standards.
  • Strategic Planning and Calendar ManagementOversee the creation and execution of program calendars, ensuring efficient scheduling of clinical rotations, simulation sessions, and instructional activities. Align timelines with organizational goals, accreditation requirements, and program objectives to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Other Job-Related Duties as Assigned by the Supervisor: The omission of duties does not exclude it from the position if similar, related, or a logical assignment to the job. In other words, you'll be helping out on spontaneous projects and opportunities not listed above.

Terms of Employment: Twelve months; salary to be established by the Board of Education.
