Description:We are looking for a Health Plan Administrator & Benefits Specialist to join the Personnel department at our corporate office in Ballston Spa, NY. We self-insure both our health and dental plans allowing us to act as a liaison between our partners and the insurance companies to ensure a positive experience. Responsibilities:•Ensure our partners have a strong understanding of our benefits package and are educated on ways to control costs for our health plan. •Create and distribute materials for health and dental enrollments in addition to timely and accurate communications in compliance with ERISA and COBRA regulations.•Facilitate our open enrollment process by communicating benefit offerings, helping partners complete elections, and conveying any changes to our insurance administrators.•Research employee benefit plans and negotiate with vendors and administrators for the best plan options and rates. •Assist partners with any coverage, provider, and billing questions.•Oversee the processing of billing for claims and administrative fees for all group plans. •Analyze claims reports and present findings monthly to Senior Management, CEO, and CFO.•Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.Requirements:•5+ years of experience in health plan administration or related field.•Solid understanding of health and dental plan designs, including self-insured health plans.•Knowledge of pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements affecting employee benefits programs, including the ACA, ERISA, COBRA, Section 125, Medicare, and DOL requirements. •Strong numbers sense with ability to run reports, interpret data, and create ideas based on the findings to improve our health plan. •Organizational skills and capacity to manage several projects simultaneously, including the coordination of open enrollment.•Effective communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Expertise in Microsoft Excel.•Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting preferred •Experience with UKG (Ultimate) software a plus.
