Job Type Part-timeDescriptionHealth Screener - Medical Assistant (Part-time)Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 12:00 pm (noon)Dallas, TXThe part-time Health Screener assists with daily management of the Health Screens area during the busy morning hours. This job will focus on administration of body composition, pulmonary, and hearing health screenings. Get Cooperized™Essential Duties and Responsibilities •Maintains and is responsible for the quality control of the health screening areas. Maintain equipment in good, clean working condition. Assists in set-up of all testing areas and equipment.•Assists in the breakdown of all equipment. Maintains adequate supplies in all testing rooms. Reports all equipment malfunctions to team leader(s).•Assists with blood pressure office visits if clinical exercise physiologist is unavailable.•Supports clinical exercise physiologist with chart work or any additional duties.•Assists in other departments as needed or as assigned.•Attends and participates in department meetings.•Studies and participates in learning electrocardiograms, exercise testing, medication, and other exercise physiology topics.•Assists in the upkeep of the supply room, notifies appropriate person when more supplies need to be ordered.•Maintains promotional t-shirts, ensuring that there are sufficient shirts appropriately prepared to present to patients.•Complies with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) while performing all duties.•Maintains accurate and confidential medical records along with protecting the confidentiality of all clientele.•Maintains a positive attitude and adheres to the Cooper purpose and core values.•Follows all Clinic policies and standard operating procedures.•Performs duties on site with consistent, regular, and reliable attendance.•Other duties as assigned.RequirementsRequired Skills/Abilities•Strong verbal and written communication skills.•Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.•High quality work ethic and team player mentality.•Possess organizational skills with great attention to detail.•Good computer skills and ability to learn and navigate Electronic Health RecordsEducation and/or Experience•Associate degree required; bachelor's preferred.•Certified Medical Assistant preferred.•BLS Certification required or obtained within the first six months of employment.•ACLS Certification strongly encouraged.•MoCa Certification preferred.Physical Requirements•Must be able to lift up to and occasionally move up to 25 pounds.•Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.•Frequently required to sit to work on a computer.Not a fit?
