If you want a rewarding career providing vital public healthcare services, apply today!DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs a Healthcare Associated Infection Prevention Specialist, you will provide expert consultation to healthcare personnel to develop, implement, and maintain infection prevention and control plans. You will develop policies and procedures for prevention control strategies, consult with multidisciplinary teams and infection prevention staff, and recommend disease surveillance protocols. This highly technical and analytical role requires excellent communication skills to interact with healthcare infection control personnel, internal and external customers, patients, residents, government agencies, and the general public. In addition, you will assist healthcare facilities in creating guidelines for risk assessments, exposure prevention, immunizations, work restrictions, and standards for record maintenance.Interested in learning more? In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
