DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION Review applications and resumes to determine appropriate qualifications, education and experience of candidates. Refer applications to departments for review.Conduct employment interviews; discuss employment history, verify appropriate licensure, certifications and/or registrations, clarify references from present and previous employers, review criminal background history and discuss applicable benefits with candidate.Gather appropriate information needed in order to make employment offers and determine appropriate salary and ensure that reference checks and criminal background checks are completed.Contact selected applicant with employment offer, confirming salary, start date and other applicable information.Prepare application, requisition and all required documentation to ensure new hire files are completed, accurate and processed in a timely manner and forward to appropriate personnel for processing of payroll and benefits.Prepare weekly listing of available positions for posting by reviewing approved requisitions and discussing required and preferred qualifications with department representative.Discuss advertising needs with the department; create ads, maintain records of placement cost and applicants recruited via each source and verify billing for ads and forward to appropriate individual for payment.Assist in the interpretation and explanation of policies and procedures to management, employees, and applicants. May assist employees with concerns related to employee relations issues and discuss applicable resolutions such as the grievance process.Coordinate the planning and participate in career days, job fairs, and recruitment drives.Advise and train department management and personnel in interviewing techniques, recruitment procedures, union regulations, leadership, ADA, employment laws, and other related topics.Maintain liaison with employment agencies, colleges, and other possible recruitment sources such as professional associations regarding vacancies and other related human resources issues.May complete unit/department specific duties as outlined in department documents. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Associate degree.Three (3) years of professional experience in recruitment, talent acquisition,marketing, or similar discipline with comparable knowledge and experience.Ability to develop breakthrough ideas.See multiple possibilities of generating qualified candidates for MUHC.Exhibit drive and energy with an eye on attracting top level workforce at MUHC.Stand out as being positive and optimistic, with a focus on superior customer service for applicants and hiring managers.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in business administration, personnel management or a related area.Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiringdepartment.
