Position Title: Healthcare Supply Chain Consulting Implementation Leader

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Minimum 3 months, up to 6 months (potential for conversion to extend)

Location: Remote with part-time travel to NY state required (up to 50%, depending on client needs). Travel expenses will be covered

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Supply Chain Consulting Implementation Leader to drive a high-impact performance improvement project for our client. This role involves serving as the primary engagement leader, working closely with senior client leaders and guiding the project team to ensure success. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic, results-oriented approach, significant healthcare supply chain experience, and a deep understanding of change management principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the overall design and delivery of complex performance improvement engagements, creating collaborative, high-performing work environments, and addressing issues to drive successful outcomes.
  • Manage the financial aspects of the engagement, including budgeting, revenue forecasting, invoicing, and billing.
  • Apply analytical and critical thinking skills to quantify financial and operational benefits for performance improvement initiatives, identify risks, and develop solutions to mitigate them.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the client, understanding their challenges and creating customized solutions to achieve their business objectives.
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with executive and C-suite stakeholders, demonstrating expertise in influencing change across complex environments with multiple stakeholders.
  • Oversee and lead large matrixed teams, including team role development, coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Provide strategic direction to re-engineer processes for broad-based change management initiatives within hospital operations or healthcare supply chain services.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale performance improvement engagements, with demonstrated success in creating high-performing teams and removing barriers to project success.
  • Extensive experience in managing engagement-wide economics (budgets, margins, forecasting, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to assess financial/operational benefits and risks and develop practical solutions.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with executive stakeholders effectively.
  • Demonstrated experience in executive-level relationship building and change management within complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Background in hospital operations and/or consulting firm experience focused on supply chain services, with proven success in process re-engineering and change management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • 10+ years of healthcare operations and/or consulting experience in a matrixed organization is preferred.
  • Leadership experience with direct supervision of both individuals and large, complex teams is required.
