Summary
SUMMARY: Responsible for partnering with the simulation center to coordinate and lead simulation-based education and training programs for pipeline program students; set up, operate, and maintain healthcare simulation equipment, including manikins, task trainers, computer systems, and related technologies in accordance with all policies, procedures, and guidelines.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: NOTE: Following are the duties performed by employees in this classification. However, employees may perform other related duties at an equivalent level. Not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each individual in the classification.
1. Collaborates with healthcare professionals, stakeholders, learners, educators, and the simulation team to plan, prepare, deliver, and evaluate simulation-based education in accordance with all policies, procedures, and guidelines.
2. Sets up, operates, and maintains healthcare simulation equipment, including manikins, task trainers, computer systems, and related technologies in accordance with all policies, procedures, and guidelines.
3. Liaise with standardized patient actors, the simulation team, and educators to deliver hybrid and standardized patient simulation-based education.
4. Leads the creation, teaching, application, and clean-up of moulage during simulation-based education experiences for a range of modalities.
5. Executes equipment maintenance schedules to ensure the reliability of simulation technologies.
6. Responsible for ensuring simulation center and training areas are clean, organized, and properly stocked with consumables, supplies, and equipment.
7. Provides technical support during simulation-based education events, troubleshoot technical issues, and address problems in real time.
8. Performs administrative duties when needed, including scheduling, documentation, communications, record-keeping, data management, and reporting per policies, procedures, and guidelines.
9. Serves as a liaison between the simulation center and internal/external partners, vendors, and experts to manage simulation equipment including troubleshooting and resolving system problems.
10. Coordinates and leads simulation-based education and training programs for pipeline programming.
11. Supports onsite, in-situ, and offsite simulation-based education programming including operating an AHS vehicle.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.
Required Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
Required Experience: One year experience as Paramedic or LVN
Required Licenses/Certifications: Current state licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Paramedic; valid driver's license.
