Essential Functions

  • Take instructions for daily tasks from the Superintendent
  • Operate heavy equipment such as motor grader/road grader, bulldozer, etc.
  • Performs necessary pre-operation activities including inspection to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment
  • Ensures regulated and proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is worn
  • Follows all health and safety policy and regulations including company policies, OSHA and MSHA
  • Loads and move dirt, rocks, equipment, or other materials with various pieces of equipment
  • Operates equipment to demolish or remove debris
  • Takes actions to avoid potential hazards or obstructions, such as utility lines, other equipment, or other workers
  • Coordinates machine actions with other activities, positioning or moving loads in response to hand or audio signals from crew members
  • When not operating equipment, works with and assists crew in completing assigned tasks.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
About You:

Qualifications

  • 2 years experience operating motor grader/road grader.
  • Understanding of equipment maintenance.
  • Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
  • Position is subject to pre-employment screening, which will include drug testing.

  • Follow group and industry safety standards and be a part of ensuring that the crew has a safe and discrimination free work environment.
  • Routinely perform work outdoors in sometimes inclement weather with moderate to high noise level. Worker may be subject to hazards including variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current.
  • Heavy work. Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 25 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary commensurate with experience with weekly pay. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate. ??????????????
