Heavy Equipment Operator - Waste Connections : Job Details

Waste Connections of Arkansas is looking for a safety conscious Heavy Equipment Operator to join the team at our landfill in Cherokee Village, Arkansas. In this position you will be operating equipment including a trackhoe, compactor, off road dump truck, tractor. Additional duties include being a spotter, keeping the facility clean, pulling and compacting trash, and hauling dirt. This is a physically demanding position and does require working in all weather conditions.Schedule: Monday - Friday, occasional Saturday's. 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.Pay: $19 - 21 per hour, depending on experience.Responsibilities:Operates backhoe, landfill compactor and front end loaders as requiredOperates various equipment for general site preparation, landscaping and related assignmentsAbility to operate 40-ton trash trucks including hydraulic equipment such as tail gates, hoppers, and packers is a plus!Performs routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking oil, water, and tiresEnsures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and suppliesPromotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practicesPerforms miscellaneous job-related duties as assignedWhy work for Waste Connections?Competitive CompensationYearly Boot StipendMedical, Dental and Vision BenefitsMatching 401(K)Stable year-round work!The ideal candidate will have Dozer and Trackhoe Equipment operating experience.
