DescriptionOmni Underground Inc. is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator with specialized experience in directional drilling operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating horizontal directional drilling (HDD) equipment, ensuring safe and efficient installation of underground utilities.Responsibilities•Operate horizontal directional drilling equipment to install underground utilities.•Interpret project plans and blueprints to determine drilling parameters.•Conduct pre-operational checks and regular maintenance of drilling equipment.•Monitor and adjust drilling parameters to maintain bore path accuracy.•Collaborate with the site supervisor and crew to ensure project specifications are met.•Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.•Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues as they arise.Qualifications•Minimum of 2 years experience operating directional drilling equipment.•Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans and blueprints.•Strong understanding of underground utility installation practices.•Valid CDL-A license (A MUST HAVE).•Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.•Ability to work effectively in a team environment.•Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
