Position Summary This candidate should be able to effectively manage large quantities of dirt needed on the Job Site, along with operation and maintaining heavy power equipment.Duties & Responsibilities
- Maneuvering motorized heavy equipment to ensure the accurate removal and placement of materials
- Loading and offloading rocks, debris, and other materials from heavy equipment
- Observing all stipulated safety codes at all times
- Communicating with coworkers to clarify project specifications, as needed
- Reporting injuries and other accidents to the site manager
- Advising the site manager of necessary upgrades, repairs, and replacements
- Aiding coworkers to ensure that the site is clean and organized at the end of each shift
- GPS knowledge preferred
- Additional duties as required
Requirements
- At least 1 year experience operating a variety of heavy equipment like excavators, dozers, rollers, and off-road trucks etc.
- A sound understanding of pertinent safety guidelines
- Capacity to provide and follow direction
- Sharp decision-making skills, particularly when under pressure
- Ability to work extended hours, as required
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 10 certification
- GPS knowledge
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Position is located outdoors
- Spend 90%+ of time on equipment
- Excellent vision or the use of prescribed lenses
- Exceptional manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
