Job Description
***Only qualified Database Administrator candidates located at the Trenton, NJ area to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence***
Required Skills:
• Extensive IT experience using database technologies, specifically Microsoft SQL Server 2017 and above (7 Years)
• Advanced experience in writing, debugging, optimizing and performance tuning stored procedures, views, UDFs and complex Transact SQL (T-SQL) Queries (7 Years)
• Extensive experience writing Transact SQL (T-SQL) Queries, dynamic queries, indexes, constraints, views, functions (7 Years)
• Advanced experience in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database design for highly concurrent OLTP (online transactional processing) (7 Years)
• Leads the design, development, and planning for solutions and technology standards to solve complex business problems (7 Years)
• Works with business, support, or development teams recommending system improvements (7 Years)
• Responsible for the core database development for a custom application (7 Years)
• Experience with SQL Server Integration services and Reporting services (SSIS & SSRS) (7 Years)
• Experience managing multi-DB environment setup (Including production) (7 Years)
• Extensive experience in maintenance of highly concurrent OLTP (online transactional processing) systems (7 Years)
• Prior experience troubleshooting SQL Server service outages as they occur, monitor system's health and performance (7 Years)
Database Administrator Responsibilities:
• The Database Administrator will be a lead position – with ability to design and develop secure data lake systems, migrate data on MS SQL platforms, understand and interpret Oracle scripts, build scalable and secure systems
• Understanding of legacy architecture, system dependencies and data relationships is key
• Collaborate with different teams both inside and outside of DOH to understand and assimilate data
• Ability to work with disparate teams – infrastructure, DBAs, cybersecurity and outside agencies like SSA
• Need someone strong with ETL and migrations, predominantly with MS SQL Server experience, with some Oracle background
• The candidate should be familiar with cloud platforms, particularly Azure and data migration on-prem to cloud. Very strong scripting skills necessary
