Job Type Full-timeDescriptionPOSITION SUMMARYThe Help Desk Technician works with personnel to provide technical support. Maintains and repairs computer workstations.Performs any other duties necessary to meet IT department requirements.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Handle Help Desk tickets.
- Computer hardware / software trouble shooting and installation.
- Desktop support
- Escalate as required.
- User onboarding
- Create accounts (AD, O365, etc.)
- Configure hardware (Workstation, Phone, printers, etc.)
- Create and update documentation.
- Facilitate moves of IT equipment.
- Install workstations and other computer peripherals.
- Maintain inventory of IT assets. Provide reports as required.
- Work with other personnel to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Assist in wiring and cable terminations for hardware as the need arises.
- Monitor correct use of computer equipment and software to ensure compliance by personnel to company acceptable use policy.
- Develop constructive and cooperative relationships with users
Requirements
- Associates degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of PC hardware and the ability to troubleshoot issues.
- Proficient with Windows operating systems and software.
- Ability to communicate and work well with others. Exhibit good verbal and written skills
- Good problem-solving skills and technical ability.
- Solid knowledge of computer peripherals.
- Ability to multitask and manage prioritization of tasks.
