High-Pressure Water Blasting Technician - Clean Harbors : Job Details

Location: Buckner, KY

Travel: To be determined

Work Schedule: Rotating shifts (days, nights), with overtime as needed

Experience with: Hydroblasting, vacuum trucks, warehouse/manufacturing, general labor, production, and industrial field experience is a plus but not required!

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that health and safety are prioritized by following all policies and processes.
• Operate manual and automated hydroblasting equipment.
• Use special equipment like ultra high-pressure pumps.
• Engage and operate any hydroblasting or chemical cleaning equipment, vacuum trucks, and cutting tools
• Examine surfaces post-cleaning to guarantee compliance with company and customer specifications.
• Conduct routine and necessary maintenance on hydroblasting tools and other peripherals.
• Perform regular maintenance on all company equipment used on the job.
• Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment:

• Use tools and large machinery such as industrial cleaning equipment and vehicles.
• May involve computer usage for training purposes.
• Work under various conditions: outdoor work, extreme temperatures, noisy environments, flexible schedules, including being on-call 24/7.
• Physical effort includes heavy lifting, working with large machinery, and operating in confined spaces or at heights.
• Travel will be a regular requirement for this position.

Qualifications:

• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are preferred.
• Ability to perform physical functions as outlined in key responsibilities.
• This position requires on-call availability, including weekends and holidays.
• Successfully pass a background check, drug test, and physical assessment as required.

Skills and Experience:

• Specific vocational training, classroom safety training, and on-the-job experience.
• Proficiency in English to understand safety training and respond to emergency instructions.
• A valid driver's license is required when driving company vehicles or personal vehicles for company business.
• OSHA certification may be necessary for this position.
• Knowledge of operating emergency equipment like fire extinguishers is favored.
• A federal Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) may be required.
