Job Title: Cheer Coach Location: Northside Charter High School (NCHS) Duration: January 2025 - March 2025 Overview: Northside Charter High School (NCHS) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Cheer Coach for the upcoming 2024-2025 cheer season. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cheer, a commitment to developing student-athletes, and the ability to foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth. Coaching Expectations:
  • Plan and conduct regular practices for individual teams.
  • Attend all scheduled meets, practices and events unless otherwise excused.
  • Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and skill development among student athletes.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all student athletes during practices and games.
  • Abide by the rules and regulations set forth by NCHS, the Athletic Department and League governing body.
  • Perform any other duties reasonably related to coaching the [sport] team as assigned by the Athletic Director/Student Services.
  • Proper use, maintenance and upkeep of equipment and uniforms throughout the season.
Mandatory Study Hall: Each team must complete at least two (2) hours of study hall per week. Coaches will decide hours that work best with schedule. Community Service Hours: Each team will be required to attend at least three (3) community service events during the season, decided either by the coach or Athletic Director. Student Athlete Attire: Each member of the team will be required to be in NCHS attire throughout the school day, as well as to any athletic or community service event(s). Qualifications:
  • Previous coaching experience is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of cheer rules, techniques, and strategies.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and supportive team environment.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
Compensation:
  • As compensation for the services performed by you at the school, you will be paid a stipend amount of $5000, that will be spread evenly throughout your checks from January '25 to March '25.
