Finally, you will consistently grow and develop your own craft as an exceptional educator and be recognized and celebrated for your contributions to our school community through our formal career pathways and promotion system.KEY QUALIFICATIONSThe ideal candidate for a High School English Language Arts Learning Specialist (Special Education Teacher) meets the following criteria:
- Master's degree with a teaching certification in New York.
- 2+ years of formal teaching experience in New York.
- Demonstrable skill in accelerating student growth and mastery.
- Adeptness in differentiating instruction to fully support a diverse range of learners and readiness levels.
- Ability to plan rigorous, engaging, and culturally responsive curricula that align with New York State learning standards.
- Exhibits a balance of high expectations and high support, a growth mindset, and an innate joy in working with adolescents.
- Strong interpersonal and classroom management skills with a focus on building productive relationships with students and families.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and skilled in working collaboratively in team settings.
