Ensign Services, Inc.'s (ESI) Compliance Department is seeking a HIPAA Compliance Partner. Must possess either the CHPC - Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance with experience managing privacy program components OR have3 years' experience managing privacy program components with preparations to obtain the CHPC within the first 12 months. Experience managing privacy program components in a variety of settings is preferred. Primary responsibilities will involve development, implementation, and communication of assigned HIPAA privacy program components.Our compliance philosophy is to work closely with field facilities, agencies, and resources to develop solid relationships that enhance and foster compliance throughout the organization. We provide training, oversight, and auditing functions, and we also serve as partners to our providers to assist them in building successful businesses in an ethical and compliant manner.Duties
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of government regulations that affect the HIPAA compliance implementation plan.
  • Effectively develop, implement, and communicate assigned HIPAA compliance implementation plan components.
  • Monitor changes in HIPAA (federal and state) regulations and assist in coordinating the implementation of process changes.
  • Establish effective communications with compliance partners and partners in the field on HIPAA issues.
  • Provide auditing services to ensure compliance with HIPAA privacy standards under the direction of the Chief Compliance Officer and Privacy Officer or designee.
  • Provide advice, instruction, and education on HIPAA matters at the direction of the Chief Compliance Officer and Privacy Officer or designee.Experience/Qualifications
    • Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHCP) with experience managing privacy program components OR 3 years' experience managing privacy program components with preparations to obtain the CHPC within the first 12 months.
    • Knowledge of legal (federal and state), regulatory, and policy compliance issues related to HIPAA.
    • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proficiency with the use of MS Office Suite and internet research.Desired Skills

      • An engaging and informative teacher for regular training of facility personnel.
      • Possesses and conveys a high degree of credibility and integrity.
      • Understands and accepts the unpredictable nature and needs of the compliance function in a large organization.
      • Knowledge of electronic medical records systems, preferably Point Click Care.
