HME Technician/Delivery Driver - Pridestaff : Job Details

Expectations of Work Hours: Full Time along with On Call Hours The HME Technician, under general supervision, is responsible for delivery, set-up and pickup of HME, oxygen products and supplies to home care patients and is responsible for proper cleaning/storage/inventory of warehouse equipment and company vehicles. 1. Delivers/sets up HME to patients' residences according to policy and procedure; 2. Delivers oxygen to patients according to appropriate policy and regulations; 3. Picks up rental equipment according to OSHA/DOT/Organizational standards; 4. Completes delivery/pickup paperwork promptly and accurately, returning said paperwork to appropriate personnel; 5. Instructs patients/caretakers on proper use of HME/Safety measures; 6. Responsible for delivering/picking up proper equipment according to the delivery ticket and/or order from referral source; 7. Assemble new HME/Retail equipment for delivery and/or stock; 8. Cleans/disinfects returned rental HME as per Organizational policy and procedure; 9. Assists in minor repairs of HME; 10. If assigned and trained, repairs scooters/power chairs; 11. If assigned and trained, repairs liquid units; 12. Works on-call status on rotating basis; 13. Keeps delivery vehicle clean and appropriate supplies in stock; 14. Is familiar with all DOT/FDA regulations as they pertain to oxygen and adheres to these; 15. Attends manufacturer-sponsored instruction schools/in-service meetings; 16. Maintains the warehouse area in a neat and orderly fashion; 17. Assists in stocking supplies/HME in the warehouse and retail area. Position Requirements: 1. High school diploma or equivalent; 2. Prior healthcare experience strongly preferred; 3. Good communication skills; 4. Prior customer service experience preferred; 5. Must be able to read, write and fluently speak English. 6. Clear Driving background 7. Drug Test Passed ADA Requirements: 1. Frequent sitting and standing 2. Driving company vehicle 3. Must be able to regularly lift over 100 lbs.
