As a home provider, you will create a welcoming environment by sharing your home with an individual with a disability. Your key responsibilities include maintaining a safe and healthy living space while mentoring and assisting the individual with daily living tasks.

In this role, you will help cultivate essential life skills and promote independence. We prioritize aligning interests and lifestyles during the matching process, ensuring that you connect with a person whose needs correspond to the level of support you wish to provide. Responsibilities will vary based on the individual's needs, ranging from minimal support (such as budgeting, medication management, transportation, and daily activities) to full support (including dressing, toileting, feeding, and behavioral support). Your income will be aligned with the level of support you offer.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Support with tasks such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, budgeting, and decision-making.
  • Facilitate skill acquisition.
  • Administer medication and assist with medical appointments.
  • Promote overall health and well-being.
  • Complete daily documentation through a web-based case management app.
  • Provide enjoyable leisure experiences that encourage community inclusion and socialization.
  • Adhere to all state and agency policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with team members as necessary.
  • Support the physical needs of the person served.
  • Provide transportation when needed.
Additional Responsibilities Based on Your Preferences May Include:
  • Assist with bathing, toileting, feeding, and behavioral support.
  • Provide assistance with medical protocols for conditions such as seizures, falls, or feeding tubes.
  • Care for individuals with complex physical or medical needs.
  • Support behavioral challenges as required.

Qualifications:

  • Must reside in the state where you plan to provide services.
  • Valid driver's license, car insurance, and current vehicle registration are required.
  • Active home or renter's insurance is necessary.
  • Must own or rent your own home/apartment/condo/townhouse.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Previous experience is preferred but not mandatory.
