MaineHealth Care at Home is presently seeking a Home Health Aide (CNA) to join the team working in the Waldo & Knox County area(s). This is a great opportunity that affords flexibility of schedule, seeing 5 to6 patients a day between the hours of 8:00a-5:00p. The position does not require that you start your job from an office! Experience in home health is preferred, however there is training available with current employees who already work in the field!

For a limited time MaineHealth is offering sign on bonuses for Clinical Nursing Assistants:

0-1 years of experience eligible for $2,500 (full time

1+ years of experience eligible for $4,000 (full time)

Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time CNA position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.

Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

* Position Summary This position consists of 40 hours per week.

* This position is for a paraprofessional providing care to patients to improve the quality of the patient's life in the home environment. The HHA performs tasks required to help maintain and restore the physical, social, and emotional health of clients, and this care is under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. This position reports to the Clinical Manager.

* Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

* Education: High School diploma or GED preferred. Must also have the willingness and ability to obtain a minimum of 12 hours of education annually.

* License/Certifications: State of Maine certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Current, valid driver's license to operate a motor vehicle, with vehicle available for work covered by liability insurance as specified by agency policy. Current certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers.

* Experience: One year experience working as a CNA or HHA preferred.
