We are currently seeking a dedicated Home Medical Equipment Specialist - Respiratory Care to become a vital part of our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Setting up and operating home medical equipment, including CPAP/BiPAP machines, ventilators, nebulizers, and oxygen concentrators.
  • Educating and training patients on the proper use of their prescribed equipment.
  • Inspecting and testing equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Reviewing prescriptions and patient information to assess conditions and determine appropriate treatment administration.
  • Maintaining organized patient records in compliance with accreditation standards.
  • Staying updated on the latest respiratory homecare techniques and therapy concepts.
  • Being available for on-call duties after hours and on weekends as needed.

Requirements:

  • Qualified candidates include CRTs, RRTs, RNs, LPNs, LVNs, paramedics, EMTs, and other healthcare professionals, subject to state regulations.
  • Must maintain appropriate certification, registration, or licensing as required by state and/or national boards.
  • A reliable personal vehicle is necessary for patient visits in your assigned area, with mileage reimbursement provided.
  • A valid driver's license and auto insurance are required.
  • Strong knowledge of pulmonary function and rehabilitation techniques is essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is required.

Physical Demands:

This position requires frequent lifting/moving of up to 25 pounds and occasional lifting/moving of up to 50 pounds.
