YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth Employment Application As a YMCA Personal Trainer, you will be responsible for creating and delivering personalized fitness programs that inspire and motivate members to achieve their health and wellness goals. You will play a key role in member engagement, retention, and satisfaction by providing high-quality training services and maintaining a welcoming and supportive environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with members.
  • Offer continuous motivation, support, and accountability.
  • Conduct fitness assessments to establish baseline measurements and identify member goals.
  • Provide follow-up consultations to monitor progress and adjust programs.
  • Design and implement personalized training programs based on individual needs, preferences, and fitness levels.
  • Ensure the fitness area is clean, safe, and well-maintained.
  • Follow all YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to health and safety.
  • Respond to and report any accidents or incidents promptly.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field preferred.
  • Nationally recognized personal training certification (e.g., NASM, ACE, ACSM) required.
  • CPR, First Aid, and AED certification required (or willingness to obtain within the first 30 days of employment).
Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to design and implement effective and engaging fitness programs.
  • Knowledge of anatomy, exercise physiology, and nutrition.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire individuals of all fitness levels.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Physical ability to demonstrate exercises, lift and carry fitness equipment, and assist members with physical activities.
