Horizontal Directional Drill (HDD) Locator - CableCom LLC : Job Details

New employees will earn a $1000 new hire bonus New employees with related experience will earn a $2000 new hire bonusPosition Summary This role is responsible for locating the directional drills path for installation of innerduct for underground fiber optic construction. This position is for an HDD Locator for the Operator of Directional Drills. Job Responsibilities

• Assist with on-site installation of underground fiber optic cables
• Pothole existing utilities when needed
• Prepare entry and exit pits
• Assist tie-ins on conduit
• Complete daily drill logs
• Inspect vehicles and equipment prior to use, including checking fluid levels and tire pressure to ensure safe and proper operation
• Drive trucks and equipment to job sites
• Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience/Qualifications

• Ability to locate and steer drill head for drill rig operator
• At least 2-years of HDD locating experience
• Knowledge in F-2, F-5 and Falcon Series Locating Equipment
• Work under pressure within project deadlines
• Class A CDL is highly preferred
• Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to lift/move up to 75lbs occasionally
