Summary
  • For a limited time MaineHealth is offering sign on bonuses for Clinical Nursing Assistants:
    • 0-1 years of experience eligible for $2,500 (full time)
    • 1+ years of experience eligible for $4,000 (full time)
  • Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time CNA position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
  • Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.
  • Position Summary This position consists of 24 hours per week.
    • The primary purpose of the Hospice Aide is to provide personal care and homemaker services based on the IDT care plan, assessments of the patient's personal care needs, ability to perform activities of daily living and supervision of care.
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: High School diploma or GED preferred. Must have two years experience working as a CNA or HHA. Must also have the willingness and ability to obtain a minimum of 12 hours of education annually.
    • License/Certifications: State of Maine certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Current, valid driver's license to operate a motor vehicle, with vehicle available for work covered by liability insurance as specified by agency policy. Current certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers. Hospice certification obtained with 2 year of employment.
    • Experience: N/A
