Full-Time Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) Compassionate Care in Dallas, TX

THC is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Hospice RN to join our team in Dallas, TX. If you are committed to delivering quality care, ensuring patient comfort, and supporting families through difficult times, wed love to hear from you.

Position Overview

As a Hospice RN, you will play a key role in the care and comfort of our patients. You will manage a caseload of patients, ensuring their clinical, emotional, and psychosocial needs are met in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. This role requires strong clinical skills, compassionate communication, and the ability to manage time and patient care effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and evaluate patients' needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans.
  • Provide direct nursing care, including pain management, symptom control, and medication administration.
  • Collaborate with physicians, social workers, chaplains, and other team members to coordinate care and provide holistic support.
  • Educate patients and families on the disease process, symptom management, and end-of-life care.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient status and care provided.
  • Serve as an advocate for the patient, ensuring dignity, comfort, and the highest level of care.
  • Support families emotionally and provide guidance during difficult decisions and transitions.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care plans and goals.

Qualifications

  • Current RN license in the state of Texas.
  • At least one year of experience in hospice, palliative care, preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment, decision-making, and time-management skills.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
  • Valid Texas drivers license and reliable transportation for home visits.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain flexibility in a dynamic care environment.
