EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program
- Licensure by Georgia Board of Professional Counselors, Social Workers and Marriage & Family Therapists
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of one (1) year experience as a Social Worker in a healthcare setting
- Knowledge of the Medicare Certified Hospice Program preferred.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Possess a valid driver's license in the state of Georgia.
- Ability to either drive or have available reliable transportation and present evidence of valid automobile liability insurance.
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, and to comprehend written and verbal communication.
- Ability to operate computer equipment, fax, and copier machines.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule.
- Ability to work well within an interdisciplinary team setting as well as independently.
- Ability to work with patients and families dealing with life-threatening illness and death.
- Ability to assess and respond to the needs of patients and families in varied settings.
- Ability to make meaningful observations and write comprehensive accurate reports.
- Demonstrates excellence in managing human resources.
- Demonstrates effective public speaking skills and the ability to develop good interpersonal relationships.
