Great Lakes Physician Practice, PC seeks Hospitalists (multiple openings) in Jamestown, NY to examine, diagnose, and treat hospitalized patients 18 years or older; manage patients through the continuum of hospital care, seeing patients in the ER and following them into the critical care unit and organizing post-acute care; order treatments and tests and consult with specialty physicians and other primary care physicians where appropriate; serve as a member of the Rapid Response Team to respond to changing patient status throughout the hospital; teach and supervise medical students on rotation with the medical hospitalist team; and serve on Medical Staff Committees as requested.Job Responsibilities:* Examine, diagnose, and treat hospitalized patients 18 years or older;* Manage patients through the continuum of hospital care, seeing patients in the ER and following them into the critical care unit and organizing post-acute care;* Order treatments and tests and consult with specialty physicians and other primary care physicians where appropriate;* Serve as a member of the Rapid Response Team to respond to changing patient status throughout the hospital;* Teach and supervise medical students on rotation with the medical hospitalist team; and* Serve on Medical Staff Committees as requested.Qualifications:* Must have M.D. or D.O. or foreign degree equivalent,* Have completed Family Medicine or Internal Medicine residency program, and* Have a valid New York medical license.UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran
