Location: 1840 Wealthy St SE, Grand Rapids

Schedule: Full Time, 6:00 a.m.- 4:30 p.m., Every Other Weekend

Pay: $17.50

Job Summary:

Team members working in this role will need to display the flexibility to work in two or more work locations and in two or more department roles as assigned by leadership. Department roles included in this job description are Environmental Services Tech, Nutrition Services Tech, Patient Transport, and Supply Chain Material Coordinator and Receptionist. Based on the assignment, individuals must meet the specific requirements of the job profile they are fulfilling.

These team members maintain shift accountability for support services team member job duties in a cost-effective and efficient manner and provide training to new and existing Support Services staff on the department procedures and expectations, and all departmental quality, safety, and customer service standards and expectations.

Essential Functions:

  • Work as a team member helping others to contribute to the overall success of Corewell Health.
  • Communicate effectively with all hospital staff, visitors, patients/residents to ensure the highest level of customer service and care for our patients/residents.
  • Complete special projects as assigned, with specific direction.
  • Provide training and ongoing instruction to new and existing Support Services staff.
  • Act as team lead during upline's absence and report work-related issues to upline.
  • Assign, coordinate, inspect employee work assignments, and complete quality assurance inspections.
  • Ensure that services are provided in accordance with state and federal regulations, accreditation and compliance requirements, and organizational policy.
  • Navigate between campus locations to support needed operations.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 6 months of relevant experience.
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Patient Transport 90 Days.
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Patient Transport 90 Days.
  • CRT-ServSafe Allergen - NRA National Restaurant Association Nutrition Services 90 Days.
  • CRT-ServSafe Manager - NRA National Restaurant Association Nutrition Services 90 Days.

Preferred:

  • 1 year of relevant experience in customer service and/or other related experience.
  • 1 year of relevant leadership experience.
  • 6 months of relevant leadership experience.
  • CRT-Health Care Environmental Services Technician (CHEST) - AHE Association for the Healthcare Environment Environmental Services 1 Year.
